We are located right on Goose bay with several hundred feet of the Cook Inlet, Goose Bay water front. These first photo's are NOT of our site. They are file photo's that we purchased online. We will be changing them as we move forward. Five sites now with electric and all five with water and sewer. We are a newer campground and are still adding on. Please give us your comments we are always wanting to improve and get better and to be honest we are just rookies at this and most of you will have way more experience in Campgrounds than us. Feel free to comment constructively.
While you are here with us you can try out your canoes on our placid little lake or visit the Knik Museum located within walking distance of our sites. Knik is one of the original native villages and the earliest inhabitants of this area were camping and trading here in Knik. This area is rich in Alaska history. The property you are camping on was once owned by the renowned Joe Redington himself. The creator of the world famous Iditarod.
Well this is it. Right across the Cook Inlet from the Chugach mountain range and right on the Cook Inlet, and Goose Bay itself this location is stunning and scenic. Joe Redington (founder of the Idittarod) boat that he anchored on the grass flats each year and one year just left is picturesque and many people love to slog out there and take a close peek at this historic landmark.
